Our Approach

Each system stems from a core idea that must be developed into a tangible plan.

We begin by examining the customer’s existing layout, which includes the converting machines in their plant and their exact dimensions. Using this information, Emmepi Group designs a handling and storage line, drawing on our expertise and technological capabilities. Our proposal involves creating a collaborative layout that the customer reviews and approves.

The initial layout is created following a comprehensive phase of technical meetings with the customer.

During this stage the different sections of the plant are analysed in terms of their components and control mechanisms. Emmepi Group initiates the production flow for the line and commences the mechanical design (including the implementation of transfer cars, conveyor belts. etc.), alongside the electrical and software design (control of motors and sensors).

During the on-site intervention phase, there may be a need to temporarily halt the operations of the plant.

Emmepi Group creates a project installation plan that minimises disruption to the customer's production. Should the installation require a production stoppage then our team will attempt to schedule work during periods when the company’s activities typically pause, such as during the Christmas holidays or a summer shutdown.

We offer a software solution designed with two interconnecting layers.

The first layer, the PLC, serves as the industrial input/output control system that controls the onsite actuators and manages the system. At a higher level, there is monitoring software that displays a real-time visualisation of the layout and material movements within the plant. This enables the customer to continuously monitor and assess the system’s efficiency.

To ensure complete self-sufficiency, customers need to be trained on how to manage the system effectively.

Training sessions are conducted in both dedicated classrooms and the operational areas of the plant. Following the training, on-site coaching is provided (this can extend over several weeks) to instruct the machine operators. Additionally, training is provided for the mechanical and electrical maintenance teams.

Emmepi Group maintains constant remote monitoring.

The remote system encompasses both the PLC and the monitoring layers, addressing individual issues in real-time. A dedicated service system screens intervention requests, categorising them and directing them to the appropriate software, hardware, mechanical or electrical division.
